In May Peter took part in the Vintage Sport Car Club Spring Start Meeting at Silverstone. Peter brought the car home 7th overall out of a large field of sports and sports racing cars, winning his class. The next outing is likely to be at Silverstone again in August.

Speaking of the race and the car Peter said “it was a capacity grid of 1950’s sports cars with several reserves. The race was won by a V12 Lagonda, leading some very quick machinery. The Wingfield, after a refresh to the rear suspension over the winter, went extremely well. The gearing really suits the fairly tights national circuit at Silverstone and the engine is pulling just over 6,000 rpm at the end of the straight. A really promising start to the season.”
